Marking a significant milestone, the European Software Institute – Center Eastern Europe (ESI CEE) hosted the “Back to the Cyber Future II” Conference https://www.b2cf.eu to celebrate its 20-year journey in advancing the ICT/software industry in Eastern Europe, on May 22, 2024, at Sofia Tech Park, Cybersecurity Lab. In his keynote talk, Dr. Paul Nielsen (CEO of Software Engineering Institute | Carnegie Mellon University) “AI and Cyber: The Beat Goes On” shared insights into the dynamic relationship between AI and cybersecurity.
At the closng panel discussion moderated by George Sharkov “CYBRID Warfare – Rocket Science or the New Reality”, Paul Nielsen said that AI is still in his childhood and we need to be careful about the coming teenage ages. Dr. George Sharkov offered another view on AI – not “Articifial” but “Another Intelligence”. All other panelists – Todor Tagarev, Wim Mees, Pavlin Dobrev, Gabriel Raicu, commented on how AI and new technologies are reshaping the cyber/hybrid warfare with a particular accent on the hashtag CognitiveWarfare as the human mind became the most critical infrastructure.
